Latest version of the timetable now available
A new version of the timetable for the IAAF World Indoor Championships has been revealed today.
The timetable now includes the individual times for each specific event and it’s been updated since being unveiled a couple of weeks ago, following the IAAF Council meeting in London.
At that meeting an extra session on Thursday 1 March was approved and it was confirmed that this first session of the Championships would feature the men's and women's high jump finals. The women's 3000m has also now been moved to Thursday evening's schedule and this event will be a straight final, as it was in Portland at the 2016 edition of the Championships.
This will provide a thrilling climax to the opening session of the Championships, following the focus on the high jump earlier in the evening and will allow greater time for recovery for those athletes who wish to ‘double up’ with the 1500m, as Laura Muir did with great success at the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade.
It has also been confirmed that the official opening of the Championships will take place on Thursday 1 March at 6pm.
